This is one of the very first things you should read when you first start using coupon blogs. In order to maximize your savings you will need to know what certain abbreviations mean.Let's start with Walgreens..
When you see a post that has RR $3.00 that means if you buy that product you will get back a $3.00 Register Reward that you can use on your next purchase.
Riteaid, When you see +UP Reward $3.00 you will receive a coupon printed on the bottom of your receipt for $3.00 if you purchase that product.
CVS, Unfortunately I do not have a local CVS but I will still try to post for them. When you see ECB $3.00 ,you guessed it,you will get a $3.00 coupon printed on your receipt for $3.00 towards your next purchase.
Now that we have covered the abbreviations for the three major Drug stores we'll move on to"Stacking"
Stacking is simply put using a Manufacturers coupon with a Store coupon for the same item.Contrary to what you might think most stores do allow "Stacking".Riteaid,Target,CVS,Meijer's and Walgreens all allow "Stacking". Riteaid and CVS are very easy going on their coupon policy but Walgreens is a little different,at Walgreens your total amount of coupons (Store & Manufacturer)can not exceed the total amount or items in your transaction.also it is usually best to have the cashier scan the store coupons first to avoid the dreaded "register beep".This seems to be the perfect time for us to cover "Fillers". "Fillers" are very inexpensive items that can be used at Walgreens to get your total amount of items to match or exceed your total amount of coupons, also if you happen to have a coupon that exceeds the purchase price of an item you will need a "Filler" to bring your total due up to a positive balance.I usually use something very cheap like salt 3/$1.00.
"Rolling", It won't take long reading coupon blogs before you see the term "Rolling",I used to sit and scratch my head going Hmmm "Rolling"? What the heck is "Rolling",so I'll try to explain it.When you shop at the Drug stores where you receive RR , +UP and ECB's "Rolling" is when you make a purchase and then use your RR,+UP,or ECB's to purchase your second order and so on.
I Hope you found this helpful and it makes your visit to the coupon blogs easier to understand. I will update this page as needed and if anyone knows of anything I've overlooked feel free to leave a post and let me know..
